ALL ABOARD!
Racing Most Unique
Jet Locomotive Entertainment for the Entire Family!

7/19/08 - National Trail Raceway Night of Thunder - For three races in a row Team Steam have been experiencing some type of problem with the cars. Luck has been on their side each time and they have been able to make repairs that kept the cars in the show.

This time the problem was with the Cannonball Express. Still without a day of rest they had 4 days to get the Cannonball ready. Saturday morning before the event , the crew was able to start the car and have it ready for the days events. Just like any racing team, the "Team Steam" crew rallied together to make the necessary fixes that got us back on the dragstrip with the "show going on" without a hitch for the jet fans.

Along with the Battle of the Trains was Ken Nelson and the wheel standing Cool Bus, the Hanna Motorsports Jet funny cars, and Kent Shockley’s Jet Semi.

7/12/08 - After running two shows back to back and only one day off , KC and Linda were looking forward to celebrating Linda’s birthday (July 7th) over the next four days - Unfortunately the new car, the Chattanooga Choo Choo was experiencing some problems. They had only four days to fix the problem to be ready for the race. Contrary to popular belief everyone thinks that jet cars never have to be worked on or never have problems. Luckily, Team Steam was able to service the cars, celebrate Linda’s birthday , and be ready for the New England Dragway event.

Epping has become Team Steam’s Northeast home away from home for KC Jones Racing because they have been visiting the track for the past 8 years. Having made many friends with the fans and track employees, this is also the home track of Bill Dempsey. The event was headlined with the Battle of the Jet Trains along with Kent Shockley and his triple engine semi, and the Hanna Motorsports Jet Funnycars.

Also performing was Danny O’Day and Bob Hall with their wheel standers. Joe Lombardo and his entire staff and New England Dragway now how to put of an exciting show for their fans..

7/5/08 - Two days later after racing at Kil-Kare Speedway, KC Jones Racing pulled in the gates at Numida Dragway in Numida, PA. - This was the very first visit for Team Steam, and they were the headline for the 4th of July celebration. This was also the first time jet cars have ran at the track since new owner Bob DiMino and family have taken over the track. The two things that Bob was worried about was his nice white fence with all of their sponsors and if all the windows in the tower would survive the powerful burner pops from the jet trains.

The show went great ,and Bob had nothing to worry about except the experience him and the crew had trying to hold down all the timing equipment in the tower. The smile on Bob’s face was priceless as KC and Paul put on a spectacular fire show and two great side-by-side passes. The fans were also treated to one of the biggest firework shows the county has seen. After a visit to the track, Bob DiMino, his family, staff , racers, and fans should be very proud of the facility they have in their area. After the event, Team Steam was then invited back to the facility at the beginning of September for another exciting event.

7/3/08 - Kil-Kare Speedway has become a routine stop for KC Jones Racing each year - With great crowds full of friendly people this is proven to be one of their favorite stops. Kil-Kare’s Night of Fire is one of the most unique because after every pass that Team Steam makes ,they are paraded back up the track in front of thousands of fans.

This was the first time that Team Steam performed with both of the jet trains at Kil-Kare Speedway ,along with Team Steam was Kent Shockley performing with his Triple Engine Peter built. All day long it rained until about 6:30 and no one thought the race would go on. The crowds are Kil-Kare once again proved their dedication to the event and the track seen one of the biggest crowds they have seen in many years. Special thanks goes out to the entire staff and dedicated fans from the Xenia, OH area.

6/28/08 - This was the one and only race that KC Jones racing would be in Canada for the 2008 season for the KC Family Day - The Battle of The Jet Trains headlined the show along with many fast and wild promods. After a long day of racing KC Jones and Paul Kelley were ready to put on one of the biggest and baddest fire shows the fans of Cayuga, ON have seen.

As the trains came to life they were going to do a show with no starting line lights. By accident, all the track lights were cut off and this made everything become very interesting. KC and Paul both continued with their fire shows, and moved forward with still no lights. Linda Jones and Angie, Paul’s girlfriend, both were at the top end wondering how are the guys going to pull this one off. There was such a strong tail wind that both drivers could feel the heat every time they did a fireball.

After the light of the fireballs all they could see was darkness and smoke. As they both pulled into the staging beams, the top end lights began to come back on a small amount. The tree was activated ,both after burners lit and they were off. As the two trains put 24,000 horsepower to the track they were able to see just enough to give the fans of Canada a great side-by-side pass.
